The Beginning
In 2008, a group of friends who worked together at the same place wanted to play football against other teams. They realized that to be able to do so, they would have to either join a club or start a new one. After talking to a few clubs, they decided to start a new club. While registering the club, they first considered naming it "International Oslo," in reference to the fact that most players were from abroad and wanted to pay homage to one of the largest clubs in the world, Football Club Internazionale Milano, also known as Inter Milan. However, this name was not allowed, so they decided to come up with a more Norwegian name. Since many players lived in the Bislett neighborhood, they chose the name Bislett FK.
